Dogs are widely recognized as the best companions for humans, but there are other animals that can be excellent companions as well.
In this story, a 58-year-old man named Donnie MacAdam considers his 40-year-old horse, Waco Hanover, to be his best friend. The horse, who was a popular racing purebred in the past, is now retired.
When MacAdams first adopted Waco, he thought he was dying. He refused to eat, and MacAdams thought he would have to start digging a hole. But it turned out that Waco wasn’t sick, he was just lonely. MacAdams began spending a lot of time with Waco, talking to him and letting him know he was there for him.
Donnie, who works in a state information center in Vermont, just wants to spend time with Waco despite having to deal with a lot of people. For the past eight years, he has been completely devoted to his horse. Waco also assisted Donnie by caring for him during his heart attack pandemic.
The horse, who became 40 in 2017, has been completely loyal to his owner. Unfortunately, when the horse turned 42, in 2019, he passed away.
However, Waco was paid a great tribute by Donnie, who called him best friend, therapist. How awesome! Watch the video below.
